Pentair OMNIFilter RS22 Heavy Duty cartridges are designed with a durable polypropylene string wound around a rigid polypropylene core, providing a premium string-wound solution to reduce fine sediment, including sand, silt, rust, and scale particles. These cartridges are manufactured in a precise pattern around the core, resulting in a greater surface area, higher dirt loading capacity, and greater efficiency than standard wound cartridges.

The RS22 cartridges are capable of withstanding temperatures up to 165°F and can accommodate flow rates between 7 and 10 GPM with minimal pressure drop, making them suitable for a wide variety of sediment filtration applications, including municipal and well water. These economical fine sediment filtration cartridges are ideal for whole-house use, reducing sediment, sand, dirt, and rust particles down to 5 microns in chlorinated or non-chlorinated water supplies.

Specifically, the RS22 series cartridges are designed to work best with OMNIFilter BF7, BF9C, BF35, and BF36C Heavy Duty Filter Housings, and they can fit all 10-inch heavy-duty filter housings, replacing any 10-inch by 4.5-inch sediment filter cartridge. With a 30,000-gallon capacity, these cartridges should be replaced every 6 months or when a drop in water pressure or water quality is noticed.
